Epithermal Gold Mineralizations at the Cineam area, in the Tasikmalaya district, West Java
Epithermal Gold Mineralizations at the Cineam Area, Tasikmalaya District, West Java investigates the geological setting, alteration characteristics, and mineralization style of epithermal gold deposits in the Cineam area. The study integrates field geology, petrography, and geochemical analyses to identify hydrothermal alteration zones, ore mineral assemblages, and structural controls on mineralization. Gold mineralization is interpreted to be associated with low- to intermediate-sulfidation epithermal systems, developed within volcanic and volcaniclastic host rocks related to Neogene magmatism. Structural features such as faults and fractures play a significant role in focusing hydrothermal fluid flow and ore deposition. The findings provide insights into the genesis of epithermal gold mineralization in West Java and contribute to exploration models for similar volcanic-arc-related gold systems in Indonesia.
