Magmatism in Kalimantan
Magmatism in Kalimantan provides a comprehensive review of the magmatic history, petrogenesis, tectonic settings, and distribution of igneous rocks in Kalimantan, integrating geological mapping data, field observations, and geochemical analyses. The book discusses a wide range of magmatic processes that occurred from the Permian(?) to Plio-Pleistocene, including volcanic and plutonic activity related to subduction zones, arc systems, and regional tectonic evolution. Emphasis is placed on understanding magma sources, petrological characteristics, and their implications for mineralization as well as broader tectonic reconstructions of Kalimantan’s geological development. As a specialized publication by the Geological Survey Centre, this work is a key reference for geologists studying magmatism, tectonics, and resource geology in eastern Indonesia.
